教师可以根据年级和其他标准搜索经过审核的应用，然后订购应用，并安装在学生的设备上。
Nexus 7 价格为 229 美元，管理服务和 Google Play for Education 价格为 30 美元。明年早些时候，10 英寸的华硕 Transformer Pad 和惠普 Slate 8 Pro 也将预装 Google Play for Education。
过去 5 个月，Google 一直在与 50 所学校合作，对 Google Play for Education 进行测试。教师通过 Google Play for Education 为学生下载应用。
Google 还在教育市场上大力推广 Chromebook 笔记本。但是，鉴于平板电脑的普及程度，Google 将 Google in Education 项目覆盖范围扩大到 Nexus 7 和其他 Android 设备是明智之举。
